QelviQ Store and QelviQ App



As a customer of the QelviQ Store

When you purchase something from the QelviQ store on www.qelviq.com, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address and payment data. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.


As a user of the QelviQ App

When you use the QelviQ App as a customer or non paying user, we register your email address, name, country of origin, language choice, and your status (a company/ resident) store and the list of all your scanned wine labels This enables us to run our services properly. We will never sell this info to third parties. The info about scanned wines will only be processed to improve our database.

Our app makes use of passwords for your safety and convenience which are protected against third party theft by secure servers.


When you are a non paying user of the Temperature App, by opting in, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates. Our service will not work for non paying customers without the explicit opt-in we ask when downloading our App.

We will never sell this information to a third party and are committed to ask for the minimum information necessary to run our services.



How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction on the QelviQ store, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.


When you become a non paying user of the QelviQ App, we ask an opt-in for access  which allows us to run our services and  send e-mails strictly and only about the App and all services related to QelviQ like the QelviQ Store or promotions concerning the QelviQ products.


If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason like marketing on other platforms of QelviQ like our  website or other venues like fairs or events, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.


How do I withdraw my consent?

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at [email protected] or at QelviQ, Campus Blairon 442, 2300 Turnhout Belgium.

We also include at any time an “unsubscribe” module in every mail that we send to you that will immediately withdraw your email from the mailing list.

If you are a non paying user of the QelviQ App, this implies that you can not access the service anymore as we ask for an e-mail for controlling and governing the service.



We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.



The QelviQ store is hosted on Lightspeed servers. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Lightspeed data storage, databases and the general Lightspeed application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

The QelviQ app is hosted at Aptus which collects the data of the users and the data in the app on their servers. They have taken all necessary precautions to store the data securely.



In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

Lightspeed provides the e-commerce backbone for the QelviQ Store. It  uses AWS and KPN to store and protect our data. For these services Lightspeed has entered into an agreement with these sub-processors to ensure that they process the personal data with at least the same level of security as it does.

Lightspeed is using AWS servers in the USA to store data from Merchants relating to Lightspeed Retail. GDPR requires that if data is  transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), Lightspeed shall ensure that the recipient of the data is protected with the same level of protection that processors inside the EEA are bound by. The European Commission has recognised the certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield Principles as a form of adequate protection. Lightspeed has signed an agreement with AWS in order to confirm that they are certified under and bound by the EU-US Privacy Shield Principled and therefore offer an adequate form of protection for the personal data that they receive from Lightspeed. Lightspeed is currently certified under such Privacy Shield.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.



To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.



By using our services, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence.
